Excessive sweating

Online skin doctor for excessive sweating and body odour

Sweat that soaks your palms, feet, underarms or face even in AC, makes it hard to hold a pen or shake hands, or brings an odour that soap does not fix. Send details and the skin doctor writes a plan to control it.

₹299 for a chat consult.

  • Dr. Rohini K replies within 30 minutes, day or night.
  • Prescription in the chat and on WhatsApp, when one is right
  • 48 hours of follow-up questions included

What to send the doctor

  1. Where you sweat (palms, feet, underarms, face or all over), and whether it stops in your sleep.
  2. Whether it started in childhood or recently, and whether it runs in the family.
  3. Night sweats, fever, weight loss, thyroid problems, diabetes, menopause and the medicines you take.
  4. Photos of any rash, peeling or smelly, pitted skin on the soles.

What the doctor looks for

  • Hyperhidrosis that starts young and affects the palms, feet or underarms.
  • Sweating caused by something else: thyroid, sugar, menopause, medicines or an infection.
  • Skin problems that sweat brings, such as fungal infection, heat rash and smelly feet.
  • What you have tried, and how much it affects work and daily life.

What the plan usually covers

  • A strong antiperspirant and how to use it at night for it to work.
  • Treatment for odour and for infections in sweaty skin.
  • Tablets, or treatments given in person, when antiperspirants are not enough.
  • Blood tests when the sweating started recently or is all over the body.

The doctor decides what is right for you. A prescription is written only when one is appropriate.

When a chat is not enough

See a doctor in person today if you have:
  • Sweating with chest pain, a racing heart, breathlessness or feeling faint. Go to a hospital now.
  • Night sweats with fever, cough or weight loss you cannot explain.

Questions

Is excessive sweating a medical problem?
Yes. When sweating gets in the way of work or daily life, it is called hyperhidrosis, and it can be treated.
Which antiperspirant works for heavy sweating?
One with aluminium chloride, applied at night to completely dry skin and washed off in the morning. The doctor can tell you the strength and how often.
Why do my feet smell so much?
Bacteria grow in sweaty soles and make the odour. Drying the feet, cotton socks, changing shoes and sometimes a medicated gel fix it.
Who will I be speaking to?
Dr. Rohini K (MBBS, IFAAM (Aesthetic Medicine), Fellowship in Cosmetic Dermatology), the skin and hair doctor on PingMeDoc™'s teleconsultation panel. Every skin and hair consult booked through Chamak goes to the skin doctor, day or night, with a reply usually within 30 minutes.
What does it cost?
₹299 for a chat consult. Audio or video from ₹499. The price is shown before you pay and covers the written plan and 48 hours of follow-up questions in the same chat.
Will I get a prescription?
Only if the doctor finds one appropriate. When issued, it is a digital prescription sent in the chat and on WhatsApp, valid at any pharmacy.
Where does the consult happen?
Booking, payment and the chat run on www.pingmedoc.com, our teleconsultation site. You are asked for a phone number and a one-time code at payment, and nothing before that. Chamak and PingMeDoc are the same company.
